अनुदिनी ८१- Liability and Asset / Blog 81 – Liability & Asset

पहाटेच जाग आली. . तर समोर काचेतून टुमदार घरं दिसत होती. सगळीच घरं एक जात सुंदर होती. त्यांच्यासमोरून लहानशी गल्ली होती. रस्त्याला लागून त्या एक सारख्या दिसणाऱ्या घरांच्या कुंपणापर्यंत छान हिरवेगार गवत होते. त्यावरून एक जण कुत्र्याला फिरवत होता. मध्येच त्या श्वानाने त्याचा नैसर्गिक विधी उरकला. सोबतच्या त्या व्यक्तीने लगेचच हातातल्या पिशवीने ते उचलले.

अरे, परवा आपण मॉलमध्ये गेलो होतो ना,  मला वाटलं आपल्या पुढचा तो  मनुष्य दार सोडून पुढे निघून जाईल.  पण  आपल्याला येतांना बघून तो चक्क दार धरून थांबला की रे!   भले काही सेकंद थांबला, पण आपल्या मागून लगोलग कोणीतरी येत आहे तर त्याच्यासाठी दार धरून ठेवण्याचे सौजन्य त्याने दाखवावे?

काय पण हा सायकलवाला? 

ह्याला कोण जाऊन सांगणार की त्याच्यामुळे आपण मागे अडकलो आहोत. 

आता ह्याला आपल्या गाडीचा आवाज येत नसेल का?  

पण तुम्हाला हॉर्न वाजवायची परवानगी नाही, आणि त्याला ओव्हरटेक करायच असेल तर नियमांचं भान ठेवायचं ते ही ह्या जंगलात जिथे तो आणि फक्त आपणच आहोत.    

"आजी तू आणि आई या इथे फुलांच्या ताटव्याच्या बाजूला बसा इथून फोटो चांगला येईल." 

"अरे, वसू! मी बघतच राहिले आपण फोटो काढतोय हे पाहून ते कुटुंब तिथेच थांबून राहिलं की रे!. 

ते ही हसऱ्या चेहऱ्याने."

"बापरे हा मॉल म्हणजे अरे, अख्खी भाजी मंडईच आहे की रे ही!"

"तू ही शाल घे अंगावर!"

वसंताने आजीच्या अंगाभोवती शाल गुंडाळली. 

"अरे किती प्रकारच्या भाज्या आणि हे टोमॅटो तर किती वेगवेगळ्या आकाराचे?"

सेल्फ चेक-आउट च्या रांगेत आजीची व्हीलचेअर घेऊन वसंत उभा राहिला.  

"वसु, तू स्वतः प्रत्येक वस्तूचे वजन करून बिल बनवले. इथे तर बघायला कोणीच नाही

काही कमी -जास्त, म्हणजे एखाद्या वस्तूचे बिलिंग राहून गेले म्हणजे?"

"आजी, आपल्याकडे विश्वासराव पानिपतात मारला गेला पण तो इथे पुनर्जन्म घेऊन आलाय."     

“सगळीकडे अजबच रसायन बघायला मिळतं आहे!”  

मंडळी , कागदावर गुंतवणुकीचे जमा-खर्चाचे गणित मांडत असताना बदलत्या सामाजिक जीवनात, राहणीमानात हे न बदलणारे, शाश्वत, इतरांचा विचार करणारे, समाजशास्त्राचे नियम, आपल्या कागदावरील बॅलन्सशीटवर येत नाहीत म्हणून कमी महत्वाचे नक्कीच नाहीत.

उलटपक्षी 'Liability-Asset' च्या ह्या बॅलन्सशीटवर 'Civic Sense' च्या 'Liability' मध्ये शिल्लक असल्याशिवाय 'Assets' ची बाजू टॅली होणार नाही.

काय मंडळी, तुम्हाला काय वाटतं?

Happened to wake up early morning. I could see the beautiful houses through the window pane. Every single house was beautiful. A small lane in front of them. The typical compound with curated lawn of each house ran up to the road. One person was walking the dog. The dog answered the nature’s call while walking. The person accompanying the dog, immediately picked it up with the plastic bag.

Recently, when we had been to the mall, we thought that the person ahead of us would just walk though the door. But, when he saw us coming, he stood there holding the door open for us. Though he waited just for a few seconds, did he need to show the kindness of holding the door for us as we were just behind him? 

And now this bike rider? Who would tell, that because of him, we were stuck up behind. Was the sound of our car engine not audible to him?

But you did not have the permission of honking the horn. And if you wanted to overtake, you could do it after following all the rules, that too in the jungle where it was just us and him  

“Grandma and mom, you both come here, we can get a nice picture besides the cluster of flowers.”

“Vasu, I was watching that the other family waited when they saw we were shooting, that too with a smiling face.”

“Wow, this mall is no less than an entire vegetable market”

“Please cover yourself in this shawl” 

Vasanta draped the shawl around grandma.

“How many types of vegetables and these tomatoes are altogether of different shapes?”

Vasanta stood in the Self-checkout queue along with grandma in her wheelchair.

“Vasu, you made the bill of each item after weighing it yourself. There is no one around to oversee this. If there is any discrepancy, I mean if you miss any item to bill, then?

“Grandma, Vishwasrao (Belief) was killed in the Panipat battle, but he has re-incarnated and come back here.”

“I am seeing all weird things here!”

Friend, just because the immutable, eternal, empathizing social rules of living won’t appear in the balance sheet when we jot down the accounts of investment, does not mean that they are not important.

Contrary to this, on the balance sheet of “Liability-Asset”, unless there is a balance in the “Liability” of “Civic Sense” the value of “Assets” won’t tally.
